Permanent Make-up

What is permanent make-up?

Permanent make-up is a micro-implantation of small colour pigments into the skin. This means that colour pigments are worked into the uppermost layer of skin using a fine sterile needle. This method can be used to pigment eyelid lines, lip contours, eyebrows and areola. In contrast to conventional make-up, permanent make-up does not smudge, smear or fade overnight.

The pigments are deposited between the skin cells and fade over time due to the sun's UV rays. The skin's own cell renewal process eventually removes the colour pigments. Colour pigments are said to last 2-4 years, although no definitive durability can be guaranteed. The durability depends on the skin type, colour intensity/choice of colour and correct aftercare.

Immediately after treatment, the pigmented areas may still appear slightly reddened or irritated. This usually lasts a few hours and in rare cases a few days. In the first few days, the colour appears even more intense. However, the result of the treatment only becomes visible after complete healing. This can take up to a week.
